I stopped by the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston’s Seaport area mostly for the museum store, and wow, it did not disappoint. This is one of the nicest museum stores I’ve visited — colorful, fun, and full of unique art-inspired items for everyone. I was there specifically to grab a tiny print from the vending machine featuring Anastasia Inciardi’s work, and it was such a treat. I even met another collector there, which made the visit feel extra special. The store has everything from cards and prints to T-shirts, accessories, and more, all vibrant, creative, and interesting. I didn’t have time to explore the galleries this visit, but being right on the waterfront makes it a perfect spot to come back to for a longer museum experience. If you love art and love exploring museum stores, this one is definitely worth a stop.

Friendly staff on each floor. Cute little gift shop. Has a bunch of different things. Contemporary postcards, zodiac candles, jewelry. I ended with postcards and an angel numbers book and crystal. Finn enough. The exhibit was really nice. I viewed the African American modern artist residence program exhibition. Not sure if they rotate or add on rotating exhibits. But they did say a good one was coming up soon. the view on the gallery floor after you end the exhibit is to die for. I don’t have anything from the cafe but it’s nice they had that available.

Visiting the ICA was truly magical. From the moment you step into the glass elevator, you feel like you’re being lifted into a different world. The views are breathtaking, and the architecture alone is an experience. The exhibitions are beautiful, powerful, and thoughtfully curated. Each space invites you to slow down, reflect, and connect with the art in a meaningful way. The combination of contemporary art, natural light, and the stunning waterfront setting makes this museum feel special and inspiring. The ICA is not just a museum—it’s an experience. A must-visit place in Boston’s Seaport. Plenty of parking garages.

I think it is worth the visit if you are into contemporary art. It takes about 1.5 hours to go through the museum. I enjoyed the view of the sea from one of the floors as well.
