It is a decent club experience. Needs more work on the atmosphere and better service though. Excited for the Diwali event coming up here though !
You have to know which floor and which day you are picking otherwise you will ended up going to the wrong party. The club tends to have Electronic music on Fridays( deep, tech and techno) and hip hop on Saturdays. Area 51 is the new renovated space below and they have all types of events. Awesome place.
1 star for the venue experience, 5 stars for Hernan Cattaneo. This is not a review of the artist. Hernan was excellent. This is a review of the room and the culture Bijou allows around nights like this. The overall atmosphere felt rude, territorial, and far more ego-driven than music-driven. Basic dance floor courtesy was missing. Trying to move through the crowd politely was met with resistance and pushing, and the energy in the room felt more hostile than communal. On top of that, seeing people throwing glow sticks around near the DJ was just embarrassingly disrespectful. What bothered me most is that when you bring in an artist of this caliber, the venue should match that with a crowd experience that feels respectful, safe, and actually centered on the music. That was not the case here. Great set. Bad room. Bad vibe. I would not come back.
i had such a great night here! the vibe was electric — good dj, main character energy! as a woman, I also really appreciated how safe and comfortable I felt all night. the security was attentive but chill, and the staff were super friendly. definitely one of those places where you can dress up, dance, and have fun without feeling overwhelmed
They told me I “looked like I’d had a few drinks” and denied me. What a farse of a “nightclub” who doesn’t pregame that type of a scene. I hope that bouncer gets fired for his subpar work. I also know for a fact that they serve underage children. I am 21 and was denied. What a joke. Fire you’re employee for awful work.
