I try to be very honest with my reviews. It is still not easy to report when things were not ideal. Especially at a restaurant that is such an important and classic Bonn institution. But for my tastes the Prefix Menu was somewhat disappointing. The Angus steak was cooked perfectly, but loaded with pepper. I love pepper but the pepper crust and pepper sauce took away the steak flavor. This is maybe good because the steak could have been a higher quality. It had some sinew, which should never be the case when spending more than 100 Euro for dinner. The fish dish was somewhat bland in flavor and the texture was off. The fish was light and very high quality, but under it were chewy grains - they were not buckwheat but something along those lines. This was not a nice contrast for my palette. What I really enjoyed was the deconstructed Caesar salad. The Chai tea concept desert was successful and innovative, but I'm not sure Chai fits with a foodie or high end eating concept. The service was friendly but a bit slow to react or to find our table again with the drinks we ordered. I am glad I ate here, I am just not so convinced about the experience based on the high price tag.

This is our second time in this place and didn't disappoint. The staff is amazing, super friendly, explanations are good and the place is marvelous, really cute and nice building, feels really cozy. The food OMG what can I say? We've been in Michelin star restaurant in other cities here in Deutschland and other countries and even if Redüttchen doesn't have one, IS SO FAR BETTER than some. They absolutely deserve one. I can't say which dish was my favorite because I loved all of them; they were simply exquisite from the starter to the dessert. Prices are great for the quality they have. We will definitely continue to attend and actively recommend it.

Was there together with my mom. The food was delicious and inspiring. Creative dishes made beautifully. The staff was friendly and professional. Overall a great experience! We highly recommend going, and we will definitely be back.
