What a truly warm and magnificent experience. I could wax lyrical, all day long, about the marvellous concoctions on offer at Velvet, however, I truly believe they speak for themselves. Just look at the menu. Ayleen, is whom I wish to acknowledge in this review. She is the epitome of what the word hospitality means. On a Sunday evening, the beautifully adorned and exceptionally lit den, filled. There were approximately 30 people to be tended to. Ayleen catered to every guest, with the poise and grace of which you would rarely see, in the most high end of establishments. Beautifulto watch. She didn't skip a beat. Whilst orders of up to seven different cocktails were being prepared by her, no one ever had to reach for so much, as a water bottle. Could not recommend any more highly. A shame there's no option to leave more stars. Thank you Ayleen.

Luxurious, quiet vibe. Kind and generous bartender who answered all our questions and was excited about the flavors in the drinks. A fun menu! A good section of alcohol free drinks, and the normal cocktails were also delicious (we had the ground ivy and it was divine). Good prices and fun to get a taste of berlin and the creativity of the bartenders Funny side note: the bathrooms provide a fun mystery as to how to flush. But also were luxurious with lotion and hand towels 😎

This was one of my all-time favorite bar experiences, ever. The bartender Ruben was very knowledgeable and personable, and the drinks were crafted with such deftness and attention to detail, they truly elevate every ingredient into something far more magnificent than the sum of their parts. He was even kind enough to make half portions so my spouse and I could try many drinks without overdoing it. The bar atmosphere is beautiful, especially when the sunset is shining through the glass bottles in the window. It feels intimate without being claustrophobic. Even the restrooms were lovely, with every amenity you could want. I cannot recommend this place enough. This will be the very first place i come back to on my next trip to Berlin.

I see why this spot has so many awards. The menu was unique and the selection of liquors was extensive. Highly recommend! I have to touch on some of the reviews here that mention price and taste of the drinks. These are real cocktails, with fair amounts of liquor, but if you’ve been drinking the more juice heavy drinks most bars here in Berlin serve I can see why it’s shocking. 😂

Absolutely loved this place. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, but what really makes Velvet stand out are the cocktails themselves. You can tell right away that this isn’t a mainstream bar — the menu is creative, carefully crafted, and every drink feels unique, with its own character and story. The staff make the whole experience even better. They’re genuinely passionate about what they do, always ready to give a thoughtful recommendation and explain the concept behind each cocktail. It’s the kind of place where you can discover new flavor combinations and actually learn something about what you’re drinking. One of the best cocktail experiences I’ve had in Berlin — definitely worth a visit if you’re into mixology done right. 10/10.
