What a fantastic place to sit down and have a meal with an incredible atmosphere. I had the schnitzel with potatoe salad and apple struddle for dessert. The service was exceptional and I would highly recommend of you're in the area. The view is also amazing
The schnitzel alone is worth the stop. Service was a bit slow, but both meals we had were really good, and the portions are generous. It’s a little on the pricey side, but you’re definitely getting a lot of food for it. Beer was cold, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—an easy place to settle in and enjoy the evening. Bonus points for being a short walk from our hotel.
Pleasant experience as a solo diner, pumpkin soup and pike perch filet from the daily specials menu and a glass of Riesling. Attentive service, food was good.
Absolutely delighted with our recent visit to Lutter & Wegner! The kids couldn't get enough of the bratwurst sausages and I loved every bite of my schnitzel. The wine list was impressive, with plenty of German varieties to choose from. Our server was very patient with us, as we had quite a few questions about the menu. My only slight criticism is that the atmosphere felt slightly cramped, especially with our big group. Still, the cosy vibe made up for it and we left feeling very satisfied. Great value for money, highly recommended! We'll be back soon. The kids have already asked when! 4/5 stars.
Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing, disrespectful and far from professional. Although we arrived without a reservation, the staff at the entrance kindly welcomed us and, after a brief check, led us to the elegant wine-decorated dining hall. We were seated, received the menu and the wine list, and spent around ten minutes reviewing our choices — we were ready to order. From that point on, however, the situation became unacceptable. The same waiter returned and told us that he would give us a “better table”, asking us to follow him. Without any explanation, he suddenly led us through the back service / dishwashing area and brought us back to the bistro section at the entrance. When we politely said that we did not wish to be moved, he replied in a very dismissive manner, saying he had “no time”, and simply walked away — leaving us standing there without a table. When we explained the situation to the first staff member, we were told that there was no space without a reservation, despite the fact that we had already been seated in the elegant hall and were about to place our order. Shortly afterwards, we also witnessed an argument between the employees. The most disturbing moment was when the waiter made a “shh” gesture towards us and then, in a very rude tone, said “get out”. Throughout this situation we felt humiliated and disrespected as guests. This cannot be justified by workload or reservation policy; it clearly reflects serious issues in internal organisation and guest communication. We therefore chose to leave the restaurant. Given its reputation and location, our expectations were much higher — unfortunately, the service attitude did not match this image. We cannot recommend this place.
