I had a great time staying here! It was my first time travelling alone and I was a bit nervous, so I decided to book a solo room on the fourth floor for some extra quiet. I was here alone but my room had a double bed and another single bed, which is more than I expected. The room itself was big and all the electrical sockets worked, even though some of them were a bit wonky. There WAS a bit of an odd smell in my room, which I blame the oil diffusser for (very fancy though), but when I was in my room for like two minutes I couldn't smell it anymore so it was fine. I bet something could have been done about it but it honestly didn't bother me enough to ask about it lol. Loved the big window because I love waking up to natural light. If you don't, definitely bring an eye mask, but that speaks for itself while travelling. ;) The bed was nice, the mattress thinner than I'm used to at home but I slept very well! Online I couldn't find anything about the way the rooms were locked but the room had a nice key card system that always worked well. The bathroom was really nice. On the fourth floor at least there is a shower stall that you can close to get dressed in, and then you can hop into the shower from that closed stall. I was worried there would be no space to change in private but it was suuuper nice and I had plenty of space to leave my clothes and stuff, so definitely props to that. Of course I don't know how they are on the other floors. :) The staff was super friendly from the get go and even though I didn't go to any of the hostel events, I loved that they organised them and always felt very welcome to join if I wanted to. They also were always willing to help out or give nice recommendations, friendly & always down for a chat. I personally never experienced much noise on the fourth floor, it was very quiet, and the noise that was there in the common room and kitchen was very expected for a hostel and didn't really bother me. The kitchen gets a bit busy and crowded during rush hour, but I was never not able to use anything and people are generally friendly even in the busiest hours. Very well equipped kitchen, absolutely great! The hostel itself can easily be reached through taking the tram from the train station to Schwedter Strasse or Zionskirche which is what I did, and then walking for like 10 minutes. The location was great and very walkable. A Lidl is super nearby. You can easily walk to Mitte or the Fernsehturm if you take like 30 minutes, and the neighbourhoud is also worth exploring. A personal favourite of mine was definitely the Kulturbrauerei, which is like a 10 minute walk from the hostel and has a cinema, a concert hall, a free museum, and I bet lots of other things. I loved the vibe there and definitely recommend it to anyone staying here!!! My first solo trip was definitely succesful! I didn't have to worry about anything in the hostel because everything was so well taken care of, which made it very easy to enjoy the rest of my trip. I will definitely come back again solo to Berlin because there is soooo much left to explore, and when I do i will definitely stay with you guys again!

Great hostel with a fantastic social atmosphere and very friendly staff, especially Georgia, Mitch, Erin, and the rest of the team. The evening activities and local recommendations were excellent and made exploring Berlin much more enjoyable. One small improvement would be to provide shower gel/soap. Given the price per night, I expected this basic amenity, even though it’s easy to buy nearby. Overall, a great stay and I’d happily recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful experience in a very community-oriented hostel. Rooms were clean and well-sized, all the amenities you could hope for, and events every night to socialise with others. Staff were also fantastic and it really felt like a home away from home. I'd absolutely stay here again (and for longer next time!)

A very friendly, chill, and homely hostel. It is smaller, and feels like a home and not a flashy corporate hotel/bar. Not bustling with people but I was always able to find people to club with even with my bottom-level social skills. Price could be lower but seems standard for Berlin hostels. Big recommend for a home away from home.

Honestly, this was not one of my favourite hostel experiences. Not bad, but also not good. The room I was in was located next to a busy street and due to the heatwave we had to keep the windows open, so there was a lot of noise... Furthermore, the room did not even have a single chair. Just beds. So you had to sit on the floor to tie your shoelaces... Then there was the bathroom on the second floor. There are two next to each other, but in one, the showers are transparent. You can see inside the two showers and it smelt like pee there. The other bathroom was a bit better with non-transparent tape over the shower door, but that was still not great since only one of the two showers can be used. The hostel does organize some great events, so that is lovely, and they have an active WhatsApp group. I just feel like some things are very old and I have been in much nicer hostels.
