Located close to Hackesher Markt S-Bahn line this club is easy to access. Going down a flight of stairs into a basement gives it that true jazz club feel. Reserving a place online wasn't difficult. It's recommended but not essential. The welcome was warm and friendly. Your drinks orders are brought to your seat with no interruptions to enjoyment of the fantastic music. There is a charge of usually 20 euros for most but not all performances. If you like a range of jazz music this club is highly recommended.
Went for the jam on Wednesday night and was blown away! Better than I could have ever asked for. Constantly bringing on new musicians, all so talented, so well conducted. Amazing atmosphere very busy but in a very exciting way. Good beers too!
Intimate venue with good sound quality. The size of the venue allows you to feel the music due to close proximity of the artists performing. Good range of drinks on offer. Cash only.
A nice jazz club in the mitte area. Place has seating of around 100 people. Doors open at 20:00, show starts around 21:15 amd ends before midnight. Ticket 25 eur. Bring cash for tickets and beverages, and no card payments. Food selection is small, manly nachos and similar, so dont plan to eat there. The show was great and the atmosphere was also great.
We visited on a Tuesday night while on holiday in Berlin. We didn't have a reservation so arrived as the doors opened at 8pm. We knew from the reviews here it is CASH ONLY so stopped on the way to get some folding euros. On arrival we saw only one reserved table so grabbed a great table 2 rows back. Waitress service was friendly and efficient - cocktails were great and we also had nibbles. The music when it started at 9 was amazing. Some of the best jazz I have ever heard. Special mention for the sound system - it's a small club but we never felt 'blasted' the way you sometimes can in small clubs. Smoking was not allowed which is great because reviews of other jazz clubs say they are smoky. All in all a top night.
