Friendly and helpful staff. Very interesting and colourful hostel. Our great wall tour was amazing - the hostel made all the arrangements. Our room was clean and interesting. Our shower was not really a shower...not the best. A bit expensive for what you get compared to other accommodation in China.

Beautiful atmosphere in this family run hostel. They place is old (and that's part of the charm) but kept impeccable. The staff is super helpful and friendly. This is the first hostel where my laundry felt truly clean and not just passed thru water. The rooms with windows outside can be very loud in the early morning as the life in the hutong picks up. If you are a light sleeper ask for an inner room. I think they don't have windows to the outside (only to the courtyard) but it will be quieter. I stayed for 5 nights and I would come back to this place.

High standard, fun people, and very affordable. (I stayed at the courtyard place a little bit down the road from the reception.)
