I would say it’s a 2 star service Shangri-la hotel. My luggages were only sent to the hallway door and he said he needed to stop there. I had to drag my luggages on the rough hallway carpet in a difficult way by myself to my room. Not a 5-star hotel service at all. I luckily had only two luggages, what if I had three? It’s just unbelievable. Their food ordering service is 24 hour. Despite I paid around 30% tip, the food cart was not collected after I finished, I called again but then nobody picked up the phone. I had to eventually sleep with the food smell in the air. When I was checking out, I was not asked how my stay was. The room itself was very spacious, quiet, and comfortable and I love their breakfast. Best breakfast I had in similar hotels. But probably wouldn’t stay again.
I was fortunate to recently host a nearly 2,000-guests cocktail reception at China World Summit Wing, Beijing. Led by General Manager Jean-Marc, the entire events team guided by Linda and Cassie delivered an outstanding performance. The event was a smashing success. During my one week stay, I also noticed Leon, the wonderfully helpful bellboy downstairs, as well as my room attendant Jade and Christina’s team at breakfast. I am grateful to the entire Summit Wing team for supporting us on this large and high stakes initiative!
Staying at the China World Summit Hotel Beijing was such a wonderful experience. We were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who made checking in a breeze. The lobby features a warm, elegant design and incredible views of the city. We were upgraded to a spacious, clean suite with a breathtaking view of the China Zun tower. The hotel is steps away from numerous restaurants, cafés, and a massive shopping mall, making it an incredibly convenient location. The pool and spa at the hotel were also excellent and a great way to relax during our stay.
Style. Building designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill ( SOM ) Setting. World Trade Center. Tallest hotel in Beijing Explore. Was here for work but Beijing has something for everyone and I have fond memories of my leisure trips here Rooms. Was in room 7309. Hotel room is old and aside from the view, was not impressive. This hotel is 15 years old and looks it. I came into the room and the TV was crooked. Yes it is because it is a TV you can pull out but I still expect a Shangri-La managed hotel to not have it in a crooked position (as a first impression) @ the hotel. Quick unfussy check in on the 64th floor Free afternoon tea and happy hour. Infinity pool and spa Food & drinks. Didn’t eat here Prices. US$190 using corporate rates Rating. 4/5
It was my first time staying here and honestly my best hotel stay ever! I asked for halal food and the staff were able to prepare halal dishes. They also helped me with my parcels, translations, and even tracked down my parcel for me on my last day. Really grateful for their kindness — will definitely come back! Thanks Emily, Iris & Jim!!!
