Excellent location and amazing service! Beautiful rooms and common area.
I booked at Margot House due to a recommendation in the Condé Nast magazine. I was quite disappointed. Good things first: location is indeed great and the design of the common areas quite nice and artsy, and Aesop products are a nice touch. That’s about it. Bad things: rooms without window and irregularly cleaned, very noisy and chatty staff at the reception whose endless chatting we could hear from our room, the breakfast experience is odd (we cannot prepare our own coffee in the machine, the variety of items are quite limited and basic for a boutique hotel). I would not return.
We booked their largest room and the room was sunny and elegant with a comfortable bed. The staff was kind and helpful and the common space was perfect for both breakfast and lounging with a book. It's small and intimate -- feels like an air bnb except with someone else preparing your breakfast. Book it, you won't regret it.
Margot House in Barcelona is by far the best accommodation I've experienced in the city. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Barcelona where luxury, culture, and stunning architecture meet. There are fantastic restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the metro is nearby, making it easy to explore. The rooms are beautifully designed with meticulous attention to detail, offering stunning views of Casa Batlló, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The welcome letter is absolutely informative, providing all the key details you need for your stay. I will definitely be coming back, but with only 9 rooms available, I recommend booking in advance to experience this hidden gem!
So disappointed ! Despite a good online communication, this "hotel" has no direct access to the street, and this is not mentioned at all on their website or any platform. Our room was not only very used, with no natural light (meaning you need to keep the lights on all day long..), but we had to listen to the reception ringing phone and banging doors all night. We left right in the morning, after having paid for 2 nights, without any excuses from an absolutely unconcerned staff. In the same district and for the same price, we found a true 4* hotel with great service.
