I stayed at Black Swan Hostel in Barcelona for 2 days and had a fantastic experience. The location is excellent! close to many of the city’s main attractions and very convenient for exploring Barcelona. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the staff and fellow travelers made the stay even more enjoyable. A special shout out to Chiara for the delicious dinner! was a great way to meet people and enjoy the hostel’s social vibe. The night pub crawl organized by Ismail and Mazen was also a highlight of my stay. Did an amazing job creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience while showing us some great nightlife spots around the city.

I was so happy with my stay at Black Swan Barcelona! They were so accommodating regarding my request to modify the dates of my stay. Their team was very quick to respond and provided excellent communication throughout the process. I especially want to mention Helena at the front desk. She was so sweet, cool, and welcoming. She was incredibly proactive, making sure all of my questions were answered and providing me with helpful information before I even thought to ask. She was so easy to talk to and gave me excellent recommendations for local food and drinks. I had such a wonderful experience that I am also planning to stay at your location in Sevilla. It was my first time staying in a hostel and also my first time in Barcelona, and honestly it was such a good experience. The rooms have lockers which is really useful, and the communal areas are extremely clean, there is always someone cleaning which makes a big difference. There are also daily events you can join for free which makes it really easy to meet people and do things. The staff are what made it for me, everyone was really friendly but Nico especially stood out, he recommended some really good places and was just very easy to talk to. Rama, Helana and Karo were also amazing. Overall it was a really nice stay and the staff made it even better.

Really solid hostel for the price. Beds were comfy enough, showers stayed clean, and there was always something going on in the common area. Met some cool people here. Not luxury obviously, but exactly what you want from a social hostel ☀️

I stayed here in July 2025 and absolutely loved my experience! As a female solo traveller for the first time, I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The hostel has such a welcoming and social atmosphere — I ended up making so many friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they organise daily group activities and pub crawls, which makes it really easy to meet people. I stayed in the all-female dorm, which was spacious and comfortable. The location is also a big plus: it’s very central, with shops within walking distance as well as easy access to train and bus stops, making it super convenient for getting around. The only downside was the bathrooms — the extraction system isn’t great, so they can get very hot and humid, especially during peak summer. That said, they were always clean and well-maintained. We just ended up doing our makeup in the rooms instead. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hostel, especially for solo travellers looking for a fun and social environment!
