Sika Gallery in Ubud is a wonderful place to visit. Conveniently located near Bintang Supermarket, parking is easy if you are coming by car. The gallery has several exhibition rooms, including one dedicated to the works of the artist who owns the gallery. There is also a small shop, a bar, and restrooms, which makes the visit very comfortable. The welcome is warm and friendly. When we visited, the gallery showcased a variety of artists presenting paintings, clothing, bags, leather products, jewelleries, accessories, and sculptures. What makes this place even more special is the studio available for those interested in creating prints or experimenting with linocuts. I highly recommend stopping by to discover this inspiring space!
An intimate space located in Ubud, we can also visit Defvto printing institute and get to know with the artists 🫶🏼
One of the first contemporary art galleries in Ubud. They give platform and support to local artists to showcase their talents. There's always an exhibition every month and I always look forward to being there during the opening night. There's a little coffee shop inside called 'KEDAI' serving local beans and nusantara beans. They also have two gift shops inside, 'Ego Shop' & 'Langit'. Also there's a print making Institute 'Devfto' inside. Such a place to be for any creative people.
Sika Gallery is a Mecca for great Indonesian art. We make pilgrimages from the coast just to see their latest shows. None of which have ever disappointed. When we can we like to buy the wonderful pieces to support the local arts but also have the beauty in our homes. Thank you so much for being there Sika.
Sika Gallery is a very special visit for several reasons. Named after Wayan Sika, celebrated Indonesian artist, it houses the majority if his amazing work. The gallery also features work of his family, and a shop filled with great artwork for purchase. There is always new work showing from area artists as well, and some really great work being created in Devfto printmaking shop adjoining the gallery where you can participate in a variety of workshops. Highly recommend a visit when you are in Ubud.
