I stayed at Puri Garden Hostel in Ubud for 5 nights and paid IDR 1,530,000 (USD 85) per night for a private room. I absolutely loved the vibe and ambience of this hostel. The community atmosphere is one of the best I’ve experienced, and it’s incredibly easy to meet people. The team has done a great job creating a social environment that makes guests feel welcome. That said, I do have a few suggestions for improvement: • The bathrooms do not have bidets. In my opinion, this is a basic hygiene feature that should be considered, especially given the number of international guests staying at the property. • The breakfast offering could be improved. Guests are encouraged to upgrade to a better breakfast menu for an additional IDR 50,000. Personally, I don’t think this is the best approach. Properties such as Alternative Beach in Canggu provide all guests with access to the same breakfast menu, creating a more inclusive experience. • The portions on the included breakfast menu were quite small. • For guests paying a premium for private rooms, there should be a clearer distinction in the product. For example, private room guests should not need to pay an additional IDR 50,000 to access the full breakfast menu. Including this as part of the room rate would create a stronger value proposition. Overall, I would definitely recommend Puri Garden Hostel in Ubud. The atmosphere, community, and overall experience are excellent. With a few improvements to the private room and breakfast offering, I believe the guest experience could be even better.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! It's a cute hidden gem and feels like I'm entering a yoga retreat of heavenland. Made friends within 5 mins and the staff are so welcoming and smiley which is awesome! The location is convenient and easy to get around to shops and restaurants. Loved the pool, the cute cushion beanbags to relax. The bathroom was clean, towels, shampoo and soap were provided which was brilliant and saves extra kg in my luggage from getting my own. The room was super clean and spacious. The events were enjoyable for sure such as the family dinner, live acoustic music night, puppy therapy and yoga. And must not forget to mention, the complimentary breakfast is great, will remember the lush banana pancakes.

Genuinely the best hostel I have stayed in Bali. The staff goes above and beyond for you, welcomes everybody and loves to have a chat with you. The rooms are spacious, clean, practical and cosy. Located on one of the main streets yet feels so cosy and tucked away!!! Shout out to Sri for being an incredible host :)

My fiance and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Puri Garden. We booked a deluxe private room and it was extremely comfortable, clean, AC worked well and the hot showers were bliss. We were also so surprised that even with events during the evening, the live music was always done by 10pm and we were able to have really good sleep every night! The sheets were nice and crisp which was incredible seeing as the humidity in Indonesia generally is quite high and most accommodations we've been in felt "damp" but Puri Garden's was not the case. We joined the Indo Night and after party on a Friday night, made friends and had an amazing time! We took part in a cooking class at Kuna which was really great. I also got a 15 minute massage and it was very, very good. All in all, I highly recommend Puri Garden for solo travellers and couples wanting a social hostel (not party hostel) in central Ubud with a clean and comfortable room, quiet enough to have rest, and social enough to meet others. 10/10!
