Traditional Balinese temple located on a small, rocky island & offering water vistas.via Google

An iconic pilgrimage temple built on a wave-swept rock formation just off the coast.

Good to know
Only accessible at low tide. Extremely crowded at sunset; visit in the morning for a quieter experience.

A Balinese Hindu temple right off the coast, the temple grounds are restricted for prayer only, therefore we wasn't allowed to enter. Nonetheless it was a great visit, went during the afternoon around 2-3pm, was not very crowded, entrance fee per pax was 75,000 idr. We walked along the shore for around an hour, low tide at the time, the atmosphere is really nice, took some pictures, partake in a little ceremony, drank the holy water, great experience overall. Gojeks aren't allowed past the entrance gate, so I recommend booking one from the convenience marts outside the entrance gate.

Visited the beautiful Tanah Lot during my Bali trip and it was truly unforgettable. The temple surrounded by the ocean gives such a magical feeling. The view was absolutely amazing, especially with the waves all around. The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. One of the most beautiful places I visited in Bali. A perfect place to enjoy nature and stunning views.

I absolutely loved my visit to this incredible shore temple! 🌊 The way it's nestled right inside the sea creates such a mesmerizing and unique atmosphere. The crashing waves against the rocks were breathtaking. A truly beautiful and unforgettable experience! 🤩✨

You really shouldn't miss this amazing place. You can see the local traditions, and there are tons of gift shops to buy from. The photo spots are incredible. The temples, the sea, the gates and the people of Bali., it's all a perfect match.

Located near Seminyak on Bali’s west coast, Tanah Lot is a stunning sea temple that feels truly magical. During our afternoon visit, high tide prevented us from reaching the temple itself, but the views remained spectacular. The cliffs are lined with various restaurants and bars, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal or a drink while soaking in the ocean vista. It’s a popular destination, and while it gets quite busy, the atmosphere is electric. We’ve heard the sunset views are legendary, which explains the evening crowds. Though we missed the golden hour this time, I’ll definitely be back to catch the sunset from the cliffside!
