I chose the Set Menu A and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh, perfectly grilled and full of flavour. Everything was well balanced and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Dining right on the sand with the ocean in front of us made it even more special. And for 495k IDR, it felt like excellent value for the quality and atmosphere. Totally recommended if you’re looking for fresh grilled seafood in a relaxed beachfront setting.

Although the place is quite touristic, this restaurant was recommended by my local Indonesian friend, so I followed the advice straight away on my very first evening in Bali. And I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere around sunset and later in the evening is truly special. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, the service fast and friendly, and on top of that, it was located right in front of my hotel. There are several restaurants nearby, but this one always seemed to be fully booked, which says a lot. If you want to enjoy the sunset experience, I would definitely recommend reserving a table in advance.

Amazing quality seafood! At first, I was very confused as to how the ordering system works. It was a very busy evening and the restaurant was almost exclusively filled with Indonesian guests. No one had time to explain to me in English how it works. So… if you want to sit outside you first gotta stay in line (took a good 30mins), then you get a table number assigned with which you go to the front of the restaurant to stay in another line to order the food (this time the line was quicker, because I already spent a good amount of time trying to figure it out). Food ordering felt rushed and a bit chaotic, but I got help choosing a fish (there is a lot of choice and I don’t know anything about fish) As I was dining solo, I got sited at a shared table. At first, it felt weird but when the food came my attention was solely on the flavours! Clams were mouthwatering! The fish well done and with a variety of dressings. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I thoroughly enjoyed! Definitely worth the journey!

From the many seafood restaurant options in the area, Menega stands out as one of the more highly recommended spots. The pricing is reasonable for the quality offered, and the food itself is satisfying and well-prepared. There’s also an indoor air-conditioned area available, which is a nice option if you prefer a more comfortable dining setting. For those who want a more scenic experience, outdoor seating by the beach is available, allowing you to enjoy your meal while watching the sunset. It definitely adds to the overall atmosphere and makes the visit feel more special. In terms of food, the steamed fish and grilled shrimp are among the highlights and are worth trying. Both dishes are cooked well, with fresh flavors that complement the seaside setting. I would also recommend ordering the green coconut served in its shell for a more complete and refreshing experience. Service can be a bit slow, especially during peak hours, as the restaurant tends to get quite crowded. You may need to wait a while for your food, but the overall experience and quality make it understandable. Overall, a solid choice for seafood with a great balance of atmosphere, taste, and value.
