I visited Barbacoa in Seminyak, Bali, recently and it was an absolute delight. The restaurant’s rustic warehouse setting with warm lighting and cozy seating creates a welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for any occasion. The menu focuses on flavorful Latin American-inspired BBQ, using fresh ingredients and wood-fired techniques that make everything taste exceptional without being overly complicated. Service was top-notch – friendly, efficient, and attentive, even on a busy night. Prices are a bit premium for Bali, but the quality and experience justify it completely. 5 stars – a must-try for anyone in the area!

What a surprise. Didn’t actually know what to expect but we had the set menu and got to try a bit of everything and I have to say besides the raw snapper needing a little salt I’d have to say it was faultless. By far the best steak I have had in the past 12 months and every course was an absolute delight, being full of surprises. I’d HIGHLY recommend this place and you might think it’s a little bit pricey but I can honestly say it’s worth it for the dining experience. Staff are also super friendly and cheerful.

The restaurant was tastefully designed and had a nice vibe, though it was a tad too dim for our liking. We went in with high expectations due to its 4.8-star rating from over 3,000 reviews. Unfortunately, many items, including the oysters, king prawns, grilled octopus, Wagyu T-bone, sourdough, and calamari were already sold out by 8.30pm, which was a little disappointing. We ended up ordering the seared scallops, Baja tacos, tuna tartare, three portions of medium-rare Black Angus rib fillet, half charcoal chicken, pork asado, broccolini, grilled asparagus, wedges, chocolate cake, and drinks. The tuna tartare was enjoyable, though slightly on the salty side, and the Baja tacos were decent. However, we were rather disappointed with the mains overall. The Angus rib fillet came closer to medium, was quite lean, and tasted fairly average. The pork asado was dry and tough, and the chicken was also dry except for the drumsticks. Do note that the prices at the restaurant differ from those shown online and are higher than expected. On a positive note, the drinks and dessert were good and ended the meal on a pleasant note. Overall, it’s a gorgeous place with a great ambience. The experience might have been better if we had the chance to try their recommended and signature dishes, many of which were unfortunately sold out that evening.

My friend and I had a wonderful night here. The dishes exceeded our expectations, and were very well presented. Shout out to Arte who was our waiter for the evening - he as very attentive and took great care of us.

Wow, amazing experience. The food is truly five stars and definitely lives up to the reviews. The atmosphere is great. What made this experience special was the first class service. We had the most friendly and attentive waiter. Koman Aria. Easily one of the best service experience in Bali ever. Really showcased the friendliness of real Balinese people. I usually don’t leave a lot of reviews like this but this experience was just great. Matur suksma. 🙏
