Everywhere you look there are clean lines, natural materials, water features, and breathtaking ocean views. The location on top of the cliff is spectacular. Watching the sunset from here feels like something special, even by Bali standards. What I also liked is that the resort never feels crowded. Since the property is made up of private villas spread across a large area, you can enjoy a rare sense of space and tranquility. The service is professional, warm, and discreet. Everything runs smoothly without feeling overly formal or intrusive. Even if you’re not staying overnight, it’s worth visiting for lunch, dinner, or a relaxing afternoon by the pool. The minimum spend is absolutely justified by the experience and the setting. There are many beautiful hotels in Bali, but Alila remains one of the most iconic and elegant places on the island. Definitely worth experiencing at least once.

We checked in at Alila Uluwatu on Jan 23. And we met Mr. Bayu. He’s very kind that he’s able to help us on our requests and gives good recomendations. Very responsive and the service level is outstanding and he proved me that he has a lot of experience on handling request or issues arisen. The food here is amazing. We loved the breakfast and also arranged a BBQ dinner. The staff are hospitable and also think ahead about our needs. The view facing Indian Ocean is stunning. The resort itself is very big, good to have a long walk inside this property and not leave. We did a yoga session at the cliff edge cabana as well, highly recommend.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff here are not just employees, they treat you like family. Everyone is so caring, polite, and genuinely helpful. The service is truly top-notch. If you call reception, they answer within 2 seconds, and a staff member reaches your villa within 1 minute. Even though the property is very large, everything is managed so smoothly and professionally. The hospitality, cleanliness, and attention to detail are outstanding. You can really feel the difference in quality here. After staying at Alila, we are missing their service everywhere in our other Bali stays. No other place matched this level. Highly recommended. Truly world-class hospitality.

I recently scouted this resort as a potential wedding venue, and although we only had one evening to visit, the experience was unforgettable. While the cocktails at the cabana left a lot to be desired, the exceptional service more than made up for it. Joshua, in particular, was incredible. Since we were flying out to KL and unavailable during the day, he graciously gave us a comprehensive tour of the estate after dark. He stepped in seamlessly for the events team, showing us everything from the bridal suite to the various ways the grounds are utilized for ceremonies. He even went the extra mile by recommending Savaya next door as a potential after-party venue. Joshua is an exemplary employee and deserves recognition for his dedication and unmatched hospitality.
