Had lovely time at the Little Bird Kitchen. It’s a nicely decorated modern cafe , which offers vegan food and raw deserts. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had Vietnamese crape - very savoury, filled with avocado, salad and cashew nuts - it was flavourful and had lots of different textures. The raw chocolate and raspberry brownie was delicious - chocolaty and not too sweet. I am impressed they try to make matcha in a traditional Japanese way - hand whisked. However, mine had a little too much water but the matcha flavour was good, just the right amount of bitterness. A little complementary sweet on the side would be a nice touch… Other than that, great place for lunch if you like vegan food. P.S. Not cheap but OK as a treat.

Food is creative and tasty. Lovely place to have plant base food. Very chill vibe. Staffs are lovely too. Ps. If you want that amazing looking pancake, make sure you are here before 11, cuz I missed it.

Absolutely love Little Bird. It’s one of my favourite spots to eat in Auckland. I was first introduced to this place in 2016 from some friends when I was studying at the university of Auckland on a 4 month university exchange from Canada. Finally 10 years later in 2026 I’ve been able to visit Auckland again and this spot was at the top of my list to revisit. It’s even better than I remember. I came by 3 separate times on my recent Feb 2026 trip to New Zealand; every time I got the cacao superfood smoothie (couldn’t even try the other smoothies because I just love this one SO much). I also tried the little bird sprouted bread, the kimchi pancakes (I also had this back in 2016 and again, it’s even better than I remember and I loved it back then too!), and a porridge with mango that I’m forgetting the name of (but photo is attached) and it’s one of the best porridges I’ve ever had. I never did get to try any of the delicious looking treats from the front counter (because I was always so full after my meal) but I have no doubt those are incredible as well. I feel things are a little on the more expensive side compared to other places but for the taste and quality of ingredients, I think it’s worth it (hence how many times I ate here in such a short period!). Please bring this business to Vancouver, Canada!

If you’re gonna get smth to drink here, get the Matcha latte!! Lightly sweetened w agave and served in the cutest bowl!! The acai bowl was alright (it was less creamier than we expected) but still flavourful. We loved the dosa wrap and the bird quinoa bowl

Absolutely delicious! Everything was so yummy, the staff is very kind, and the vibe is great. The portions were huge and the smoothie was just perfect. If you’re in the area, definitely stop by!
