The beautiful night waterfront view created a perfect atmosphere. We had a great dining experience - you can taste the freshness of the ingredients and care given in the preparation. The prawn pasta had a rich and flavorful sauce. We loved the crispiness of the thin crusted Margherita pizza. It had the wood-fired Italian authentic taste! The lamb was cooked perfectly- so heavenly it melts in the mouth. It had just enough seasoning to take out the original flavour of the lamb. I didn’t taste the Caesar Salad as it had prosciutto in them, but my companions loved it! Overall, the authentic cooking stands out and the ambience makes this place worth the visit. It’s just on the pricier side, so be prepared to spend a bit more for a special night :) It is worth it!
Great waterfront spot with a good vibe, stylish interior and views; popular for a reason, with a solid menu overall The truffle pizza was definitely the standout, fries might have had a few too many overly crunchy bits and not enough potato inside On the pricier side, but I guess that's expected given the prime waterfront location. Far end of the restaurant can get a bit chilly if the heaters aren’t on due to a wind draft, can probably request to swap seats if not peak time
Went to Bivacco for dinner with a group of eight. We were seated inside with waterfront views, which were lovely. The service was excellent — genuinely friendly staff who didn’t mind us taking our time. Our water glasses were kept full and they were attentive with drinks throughout the evening. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad itself was $25, with an extra $14 for the chicken — easily the most expensive add-on I’ve seen. That said, it was a solid, well-done Caesar. I enjoyed the cheese, fresh green beans, crunchy lettuce, and the dressing. We also ordered a range of vegetable sides. The roast beetroot and asparagus were particularly good. For dessert, I had the baked Alaska, which was fairly basic — soft meringue with chocolate ice cream. I tried some of the tiramisu as well, and that was incredible: thick layers of creamy mascarpone with a rich coffee liqueur flavour. Overall, a great setting and excellent service, with some standout dishes. It is very pricey but I guess you’re paying as much for the experience as the food.
Came here for the Sunday Easter Feast mainly because I saw they had the addition of Salmon and some new desserts. Akaroa salmon was nice and oily and well-cooked. Also really enjoyed the roasted vegetables and you can never go wrong with freshly cooked Italian pizza! The desserts were all very delicious and satisfying.
This is that ‘phone eats first’ kind of place! The food is stunningly beautiful, then lives up to it with flavour. Fresh seafood, artisan pastas, bellissimo pizza 🤤 Each item lovingly crafted into brunch perfection. The decor is sleek, the vibe is high end but chill as you stare out over the water. Huge thanks to the staff - what a team.
