We came here five times during our 3-day trip to Athens, and our experience was incredible! The food is unbelievably tasty and flavourful, and it was so amazing to eat at a fully vegan restaurant and be able to have so many options to choose from. Every single dish was a 10/10 - we tried the Greek salad, tzatziki dip with pita, classic and mayo truffle potato fries, space gyros and truffle trouble souvlaki wraps, and the epic pastitsio. What set this restaurant apart was how all three of the servers went above and beyond to accommodate my severe nut allergy. I provided an allergy card with a Greek translation to ensure all allergens were accounted for (all tree nuts except almonds). They took a photo of my allergy list, went through the menu, checked with the kitchen, and confirmed everything we ordered was safe for me to consume. We found there were minimal nut dishes in this restaurant except for the Parmesan on the fries (which we removed) and we generally avoided dessert just to be safe. They were very good with preventing cross contamination as well which has been a challenge with our previous travels, and it was so amazing to be able to eat such delicious Greek food without stressing about an allergic reaction while abroad. In summary - amazing food, incredible service, lovely staff, 100% vegan, allergy friendly. An absolute must-visit if you are in Athens!! Thank you Rhino Vegan Beat ❤️
great spot for vegan food in athens. i came here twice in my trip and tried the souvlaki and the pastisio. the souvlaki was ok but the pastisio was amazing. lovely spot for lunch or dinner, all outdoor seating and service is very fast. reasonable prices too. definitely recommend to vegans coming to athens :)
Rhino is a very lively establishment to eat at. When we got there we were lucky to get a table after just a few minutes. It must have been an extremely busy evening because they had run out of potatoes. We arent vegan so you should probably take this review with a grain of salt. We got the Javan Chick’n and the Space Gyros. Both were a good size and we requested they hold the BBQ sauce on the Javan Chick’n as a result of that request it may have lacked flavor. Taste wise the Space Gyro was okay but not great. The burgers looked really good and if we go back before we leave Athens we will definitely try that out. But overall I think it’s a good spot, the servers were friendly and given how busy they were the service was pretty good.
The restaurant sits next to a Vietnamese spot. The seating is outside only but you can order take away as well. The mushroom gyro doesn't compromise the authentic Greek flavors although they use vegetables it's flavorful and cooked well. The slaw gives it nice texture and I also had the cauliflower so I added some of those pieces to my wrap ! Great add should be on the menu. 🤌🏽 We also tried the kombucha and lemonade both were well balanced if you like those sorts of drinks we really enjoyed them!. The atmosphere is great minus being off a busy road but you get used to it. Dessert looked amazing I'll be back tomorrow to try! Hospitality was great and welcoming! I'll always visit when in Athens!
We each had the Space Gyro. This is made with gyro mushrooms, onion, tomato, cabbage, and tzatziki. I ordered mine gluten-free where you can substitute the gluten-free wrap for an extra 1.5 euros. Each of us thought our meal was exceptional! So good, I'm likely coming back another day. The service was excellent as well.
