We had a fantastic stay at Shila over New Years 2026. The location can’t be beat in the heart of Kolonaki. We were visiting friends and able to walk everywhere we needed to go, including to our anniversary brunch next to the Acropolis. The rooms are all unique and incredibly charming. We travel to Greece often but this trip gave us a chance to really appreciate vibrant Athens.

We had the most fabulous 2-night stay at Shila. The service was outstanding. I had contacted the hotel prior to our stay with a few questions and they responded promptly and professionally every time. Service while at the hotel was incredible! We stayed in the Garden retreat and were extremely pleased with the room. The garden patio was lovely. Everything was thought out in the room. The hotel is down an alley a little out of the hustle and bustle, which is nice. Absolutely amazing stay!! Highly recommend!!

5 Stars ! If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting the beautiful city of Athens, Shila should be at the top of your list. This boutique hotel is anything but ordinary; each room boasts a unique artistic design that sets it apart from typical accommodations. The beautiful architecture and art in both the rooms and lobby truly make it a standout. A special shout-out goes to Marianna, Era, and Nikoleta at the front desk. They were incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and fulfilling our requests even before we landed in Greece. Their recommendations helped us create an amazing itinerary for our time in Athens, and we genuinely appreciated their efforts to make us feel special. Staying at Shila with our family felt like being with close friends or family, thanks to their warm hospitality. The hotel itself is small and intimate, featuring a lovely breakfast area where we enjoyed fresh, delicious meals each morning. We also learned a lot about local attractions and restaurants that tourists might overlook, which added a personal touch to our experience—something you often miss at larger hotel chains. Their kindness, care, and attention to detail made our stay truly unique and special. We are so grateful for everything they did to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. We will definitely return to Shila on our next trip to Athens!
