This place is an institution so regardless of the reviews you should try this spot. Note that the pita wraps are the souvlaki meat-on-a-stick kind (they won’t include the stick in your wrap so you can go to town on it), and they don’t use tzatziki/yogurt sauce but instead a tomato based sauce. The meat is REALLY delicious (some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Athens), but if you’re going expecting a regular “American” style gyro you are in for a weird surprise. Both pork and chicken wraps are good (and you can order them just like “1 pork wrap and 1 chicken wrap” (I found the pictures on Google to be even kind of confusing as some menus looked like the pita versions did *not* include a wrap). There will be a line, but it moves pretty quick (queue on the right, once you pay you move to the left to wait for your food). Sodas and drinks available in the little cooler right near the steps. Seating in the little courtyard area is available beyond the Kostas umbrellas so plenty of space is readily accessible even if there is a long line.

Gyros was very good price, but had a tomato sauce instead of tzatziki. Was interesting with tomato sauce but not a personal fav. No tables to eat inside or out, they have high top tables without chairs and there’s a square right in front where you can find a ledge or bench to sit on if you’re lucky.

The shop was a bit hard to find as the outside parapets hide the shop name. Although I wanted beef, when we went they were only serving pork but the food was still good and filling especially when considering the price. Some advice is that when ordering check if the people ahead of you are waiting to order or waiting to collect their food. We ended up waiting much longer than necessary just to order. There's also the option to not get tomatoes if you don't want it.

This is where celebrity Noh Hong-chul filmed on YouTube. Delicious and friendly. Net prices are tax-free. Credit cards accepted. No fees. Very clean. The best. I had the pork roast and beer.

Good place for beef or pork pita. They are quite small, hence the €3.50 price, so if you are really hungry, get 2 pieces and some fries on the side. Line can be long, especially during busy hours, but moves decently fast. Equally frequented by locals and tourists. The pita has an interesting tomato sauce added to it, which is a nice touch to the usual gyros served around Greece.
