We booked a Deluxe room via the FHR program. At check-in, Cleo was so kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and all perks were clearly explained with a room upgrade to a 6th-floor Deluxe with two balconies and a direct view of the Acropolis. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom was huge (both bath and shower) and fully stocked with everything from toothbrushes to mouthwash. We also found several welcome amenities waiting for us. Having an espresso on the balcony facing the Acropolis was a highlight! The service was incredible and fast. Every request was handled quickly by a friendly, professional team. We tried the restaurants as well. The Tudor Hall: we had excellent daily breakfast with plenty of choices. We also had dinner here (1 Michelin star as of Feb 2026) and the food was exceptional. GB Roof Garden - at the sister property next door: we were equally impressed by the food and service. Worth a visit for sure. The location is excellent too, right on Syntagma Square. This was an amazing stay. If we return to Athens, we will definitely choose the King George again.

Our anniversary stay at King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and pampered. Every detail of the experience exceeded our expectations. The rooms are absolutely incredible, with breathtaking views that made our celebration even more memorable. The location is perfect for exploring Athens, yet the hotel itself feels like a peaceful luxury escape. What truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. King George is worth every euro and delivered an unforgettable experience. We would absolutely stay again! King George is worth every euro and made our anniversary celebration one we’ll always remember. We can’t wait to return!

We recently had a great stay at the King George. Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The front desk helped us find some excellent restaurants and even went so far as to get us reservations. The rooms are nice, well laid out and with the necessary amenities (nice to have an iron and ironing board available). One thing to note is that our room had a tub with a shower wand that is connected to the wall. Not a major issue, but if you have mobility concerns stepping over into a tub may prove a little difficult or concerning. The breakfast at Tudor Hall was great each morning, definitely something I looked forward to each morning! The hotel is centrally located in Athens as well. Overall, great hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling there.

We enjoyed our stay at the King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Athens. The architecture is absolutely beautiful and exudes a glamorous, classic European charm that makes the hotel feel truly special. While the room was on the smaller side, it was still very comfortable and allowed us to rest well. We also had breakfast at the hotel, which was a lovely experience—being able to see the Parthenon while enjoying our morning meal was unforgettable. This stay was toward the end of our trip, and we were quite exhausted, so we didn’t get to fully enjoy the amenities or explore as much as we would have liked. Even so, it was a wonderful place to unwind and end our trip, and we’d love to return with more time to fully experience everything the hotel has to offer.

Excellent hotel with very helpful staff, well appointed rooms. Well equipped gym and a Michelin star restaurant. We were upgraded to a suite with balcony which looked out into the main square. Though we were in the busy area, the pario doors insulate against the traffic noise and it was quiet inside.
