A decent overall experience. The hotel offers good value for the price and is clean and quiet. However, the room size was quite small, and the bathroom was very basic and compact. The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, although essential services such as restaurants, supermarkets, and bus stations are nearby. One downside was the reception staff, who were very serious and not particularly welcoming.
Not sure what more you could expect for the money. Exceptionally comfortable bed, the two bed suite was spacious, the half board package was unbelievable value (particularly with the stellar views from the top floor restaurant) and the location was very convenient. A two minute walk from Athens (Larissa) station means you can get a train or metro from the airport, and when you're here it's just over a mile walk (or short metro ride) to the attractions of central Athens. It's not in the most glamorous area of town and won't suit people looking for a 5* - although every single staff member we dealt with was exceptional and gave us 5* service - but if you're looking for a great value, convenient and comfortable stay in Athens then you'll struggle to do better.
Excellent location, just 200mtrs from Larissa station 🚉, from where you'd get Metro, Trains 🚂 and bus to connect to your favorite visits,🙂. You could get beverages and food from the hotel, so shouldn't roam around for that☺️ The front office staff is excellent and helpful but the stand out was their rooftop restaurant, an absolute winner 🏆... Awesome food, courteous staff (Especially the elderly gentleman ☺️).... The complementary breakfast was one of the best we had in Greece.... The wifi wasn't working/or was weak in the room and the bathroom is a bit old fashioned.
The staff (especially the wonderful lady in the day shift) were a delight to deal with, and the hotel couldn't be in a better location for exploring Athens- the metro is near (and only a few stops from the Acropolis) and there are plenty of wonderful places to eat within walking distance like the Cafe Magica. If you visit in winter you may find the rooms quite cold - I certainly did, and I'm from Canada.
First room very noisy AC, impossible to sleep. Second visit for the return. 3 power loss (all block impacted) Beds are very stiff. Lift out of order and restaurant is 6th floor (without lift) I doubt food is done locally, just microwaved IMHO, and absolutely No taste at all. Then no hot water. So if you can, avoid it
