One of the best museums I ever visited. It has an amazing architecture, that makes the museum not only incredibly beautiful, but also fresh even during hot days. The collection is really beautiful and easy to navigate. I recommend saving at least 3 hours to go through the museum main items and contemplate its details and also to visit the ruins underneath the place.

A visit to the Acropolis Museum is an absolute must when in Athens. The museum is modern, beautifully designed, and perfectly complements the ancient history it preserves. Opened in 2009, it was built to house and protect the incredible artifacts found on the nearby Acropolis, with its layout even aligned to face the Parthenon itself. Inside, there’s so much to see. The ground floor features fascinating finds from the slopes of the Acropolis, including everyday objects that give insight into ancient life. One of the highlights is the Archaic Gallery, where you can admire the famous Korai statues — elegant marble figures full of detail and expression. As you move up, the Parthenon Gallery is truly impressive. It displays the Parthenon frieze and sculptures in a layout that mirrors the actual temple, with large windows offering direct views of the Parthenon itself — a powerful connection between past and present. You’ll also see the iconic Caryatids, the sculpted female figures that once supported the Erechtheion. The space feels open, bright, and thoughtfully curated, making it easy to explore at your own pace. It’s not just a museum, but a journey through ancient Greek history and artistry. Whether you’re into history or just appreciate beautiful things, this place is absolutely worth visiting — a highlight of Athens that really brings the story of the Acropolis to life. Museum is busy especially in the summer, consider early or late hours for a visit, ticket is €20, gift shop and cafe available

The Acropolis Museum is absolutely worth visiting, especially as a final stop after seeing the Acropolis. Going late in the day was a great choice since it was less crowded, which made it much easier to take your time and enjoy the exhibits. The museum is a beautiful way to cap off the experience, with impressive displays and a calm atmosphere that lets you appreciate everything more fully. It feels like the perfect complement to the Acropolis visit.

Wonderful museum! Just like the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the building itself is a must-see! Designed by Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi, this museum is a masterpiece, the layout is cleverly designed and there is plenty of natural light inside. The collection is also very impressive, and from the main café you can see the Acropolis. Top notch!

I had a great time visiting the Acropolis Museum in Athens. The museum is modern, well organized, and filled with incredible artifacts that bring ancient Greek history to life. One of the most interesting features is that parts of the museum have glass floors where you can see archaeological excavations beneath the building. The collection is impressive, and the views of the Acropolis from inside the museum are fantastic. A must-visit for anyone coming to Athens🇬🇷🏛️
