A boutique hotel in an very good location, just a short walk from the city center and major attractions. I was told that each room has a different interior design. I liked the attention to detail and character of the room I stayed in. The hotel has a charming and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was perfectly fine, had a pleasant stay.
A truly beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Antwerp. What makes Hotel ’t Sandt special is not only the elegant interiors or the perfect location, but the atmosphere itself. The hotel has a warm, intimate and refined feeling that immediately makes you feel at home. You can genuinely feel the family-owned aspect behind the experience, and that personal touch makes all the difference. The rooms are charming, calm and full of character, with a beautiful balance between historic architecture and contemporary comfort. Another huge advantage in Antwerp: the private parking, which makes the stay incredibly convenient. A wonderful address for both leisure and business stays, and definitely one of the most charming hotels I’ve experienced in Antwerp.
A hotel of two halves: Mixed feelings about Hotel ‘t Sandt. There’s a lot to like… the staff were genuinely warm and attentive, breakfast was delivered to the room with real care and at no extra charge, with an offer to bring more. That kind of hospitality matters. The location is excellent too: close to the Grote Markt, the good restaurants and independent shops, without being swallowed up by the more commercial tourist areas. But the room left me underwhelmed for what’s billed as a junior suite. The bed was uncomfortable, and the space felt more like a well-intentioned retrofit than a considered hotel room. Charming individual pieces (a beautiful antique armoire, decent bathroom) but no coherent design language tying it together. More upmarket B&B than boutique hotel. The lack of a proper bar is also a gap. The downstairs common spaces have the bones of something special but stop short of delivering it. Would I return? Possibly, but I’d want to see the room before committing, and I’d temper expectations on the suite front.
Excellent stay at Hotel ’t Sandt. The hotel is beautifully maintained, very clean and ideally located in the centre of Antwerp while still feeling calm and relaxing. The staff was welcoming and professional throughout the stay. The rooms have a lot of charm and feel very different from standard chain hotels, which made the experience much more enjoyable and authentic. The private parking is also a major plus for anyone visiting Antwerp by car. You can really feel the care and attention behind the hotel, and we would gladly return for another stay.
I had the pleasure of staying there for 2 weeks. And I must say the overall experience was splendid. Met Cedric on my first day when I checked in. He was very warmth and made me feel so welcome. When he knew it was my first time in Belgium, he showed me the directions which was very much needed. And subsequent all the sight seeing. I did not get the guy named who was there to ask me if everything was ok when I reached the hotel very late in the night. He even offered me hot coffee or tea. Danke too. Breakfast was delicious with home made bread by people that put their heart to prepare the food at very early mornings. Thank you for that. Room was spacious and nicely decorated with theme. Clean and well kept. The staff’s warmth and the welcoming atmosphere plus the hotel’s comfort made every day a perfect day. - ml
