Wat a awesome place, if heaven exists than it looks exactly like ach. The rooms are clean and al the other guests are realy friendly (even The snoring dinosaur man). There are lockers but it’s not needed because the only thing that they stole from me is my hart. In my opinion the best thing was there apwel (anti people with epilepsy light) in the bad room, I myself am really scared of people with epilepsy so I always felt safe in the showers with the flickering lights. The staff is verry friendly and verry attractive (see fotos) I even got a crush I think! Ps go get the warm chocolate
Honestly, one of the worst hostels I've ever been to. The location is simply amazing, but that's all. The place is both old and under-maintained. Due to its location, there's a lot of noise at night. The breakfast is less than basic. They only have one bathroom for dozens of people. It felt overall uneasy, especially for a female solo traveler. Besides objective considerations, I had a terrible experience with a male staff member: he entered a female-only room way before check-out time WITHOUT knocking first. Just two seconds before I was in underwear. This is unacceptable and felt like something done on purpose.
As a hostel it was fine, but tonight it turned into more of a club atmosphere. The Black girl handing out “buy 1 get 1 free” coupons called me a homophobic slur and a “ladyboy” simply because I said, “Sorry, I don’t have time to listen to your explanation.” She became very aggressive afterwards and completely ruined my night. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. No guest should be insulted or verbally abused like that. I expect management to take this seriously and do something about it.
I had high hopes for this hostel based on its location and the photos online, but my experience was very disappointing. The building had an eerie, run-down atmosphere, and cleanliness was far below acceptable standards. The shower facilities felt more like a prison than a place for travelers, and my room had a strong odor of urine and sweat that made it very uncomfortable to stay in. There also appeared to be long-term residents living there for months, which changed the atmosphere from a typical hostel environment. I often felt stared at and did not feel safe or at ease during my stay. I have traveled extensively and via many hostels, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had for even a single night. I would not recommend staying here alone, especially if you are young or not used to traveling.
Overall Impression: - This was a very disappointing stay and not one I would choose again. Check-in: - Upon arrival, we were initially unable to enter the building using the access code that had been sent to us in advance. While this was eventually resolved, it was an inconvenient start to the stay. Facilities & Equipment: - Beds and mattresses were worn and unstable; some bunk beds did not have safety rails. - The lack of bed curtains was visible in the listing photos, so while not unexpected, it reduced comfort. - Shower lighting flickered frequently. Lockers did not give a strong sense of security. - The basement common area felt neglected, with mismatched and visibly old furniture. - Overall, the interior could be significantly improved with relatively minor investment. Cleanliness: - There was an unpleasant odor throughout the building, particularly noticeable in the hallways. - Toilet cleanliness was at times very poor. Service: - Staff members were generally friendly and polite. - We did observe a brief impatient remark directed at other guests during check-out, but this did not involve us directly. Breakfast: - Breakfast was very limited. On one occasion, when we arrived, only a few slices of toast were left, despite it still being within the breakfast time window. Atmosphere: - The common areas were frequently occupied by the same group of older men throughout the day. - Some guests were persistent in initiating conversations, which felt uncomfortable at times. - A few individuals appeared to be under some form of influence, though this is only a personal impression and not something I can state with certainty. Health & Comfort Concerns: - After returning home, I noticed multiple red bite-like marks on my body. I cannot state with certainty where they originated. However, given previous guest comments mentioning similar issues and the overall hygiene standards observed during the stay, the accommodation cannot be ruled out as a possible factor. What We Liked: - The location is convenient and well situated. Bottom Line: If your budget allows, I would recommend spending a bit more and staying elsewhere to avoid discomfort and potential issues. The location is good, but for us, it did not compensate for the overall experience at all.
