First time to Amsterdam and the front desk was amazing. They set up our canal tour, gave us a map and highlighted all the places we wanted to see. They were engaging and patient with their help. Great location, great weather, excellent food at the “Butcher” restaurant. Room was a corner unit. Nice views but a little smaller than we are used to. Room was clean and had lots of character.

Had the most excellent stay at the Sir Adam hotel. It was so easy to get to with the free ferry that ran constantly, it was so cool and the restaurant onsite was so excellent! The location was amazing - so many fun things to do North of the city. Service was amazing, the staff was excellent. I would absolutely come back here again for another trip to the city. It was a fair ways from the Museum District (if that's what you're into), but not bad to get to - Ferry and Metro would take about 20-25 minutes to get there. Thank you staff at Sir Adam for a fantastic vacation!!

Stayed at the Sir Adam Hotel on 25th & 26th March and it’s easily one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We received a complimentary upgrade on arrival, which was a great start and very much appreciated. The room was outstanding, it was industrial and modern with real character from concrete finishes, and warm lighting, to solid wood furniture, and strong design throughout. The guitar, artwork and records give it a proper rock‑and‑roll edge without feeling forced. Extremely comfortable bed, excellent layout, and everything felt well built and intentional and the view over the water was a great bonus. The hotel has a confident, grown‑up atmosphere and the staff were professional, relaxed, and efficient. We ate at The Butcher downstairs and had the double smash burger and the chicken burger with cheese fries - everything was excellent, high quality, well cooked, and exactly what you want after a day out. It's definitely a big plus having food like that on site. Overall, an outstanding stay from start to finish - stylish, comfortable, and different in the best way. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Hotel was nice, and room was cozy (small). Staff was friendly and helpful. The main problem is that it was hot in the room and there was no apparent way to get the air conditioning on. Additionally, the elevator set-up was overly complicated for something that should be easy. You had to scan your key card multiple times both at the bottom of the elevator and again when you got to the floor. Also you have a separate interface for typing in your floor (not inside the elevator), which is confusing and unnecessary. Location was great, right be the Ferry to the train station.

Our 2nd visit to this hotel with 8 years in between, this time in the standard room. It was very small and too hot even with the air con at its lowest. It was very clean but not enough space to put things because of all the clutter. Rug was threadbare but beds very comfortable. Twin beds are pointless because there is no gap between. The Skybar, where we celebrated my 50th birthday previously, was our main reason to stay here again, but you now have to queue and pay to go up for a drink which we didn't before, so we went elsewhere. The lifts used to be all themed with flashing lights, now only 1 was. Shower floor tiles are very very slippery when wet. Awesome location beside the river and ferries and staff were friendly. I'm a Sircle club member but wasn't offered any early check in or free upgrades etc so that's a load of rubbish. Comms prior to arrival trying to ensure a twin room were really poor with emails being ignored. Would only stay again if it was a cheap deal. Back to the Jakarta next time. Handy supermarket at the rear so you don't need to pay mini bar prices.
