Stayed in this beautiful Hotel in central Amsterdam last weekend, check in was really easy and the staff very friendly. We stayed in the art suite and our room was full of assorted art works and very well laid out. A nice touch was our external door leading directly onto the street, which made us feel like locals. The hotel has a good array of bars and restaurants with some nice outside space. The staff are superb nothing is to much trouble and its all done with a smile. Great location in the centre within walking distance of most of the must do sights, shopping, bars and restaurants. The only place to stay in Amsterdam
European travel means a different level of hospitality. The rooms are somewhat smaller but the charm is much warmer. This hotel is magnificent, as is the Pulitzer Bar and Garden Restaurant. The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything you want to see. They are one of Amsterdam's highest rated hotels for good reason. Would highly recommend letting them pamper you while in this incredible city. Thank you, Pulitzer Hotel, for a perfect ending to a perfect vacation.
Our stay at the Pulitzer Amsterdam was one of the highlights of our mother-daughter trip to Amsterdam. The location was absolutely perfect — central, walkable, and full of charm. The hotel itself had the most incredible vibe: classic yet funky, elegant but still warm and inviting. Every corner felt beautifully curated. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. Carmine, the concierge, went above and beyond to create experiences our group of 9 will never forget. He arranged an incredible canal cruise with Boatique and our private captain, Okke. The boat was stunning, and Okke’s commentary about Amsterdam was fascinating. We learned so many interesting facts and saw the city in such a special way. Carmine also organized a private van trip to Keukenhof Gardens to see the tulips, with Mike as our guide. Mike was fantastic — personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our day memorable. He even arranged lunch for us at a beach club on the North Sea, which ended up being one of the most special days of our entire trip. He truly went above and beyond. The Pulitzer delivered not only a beautiful hotel experience, but memories our group will talk about for years. We cannot wait to return.
Everyone working at the hotel deserves 5 stars. Incredibly nice and accommodating. Location was perfect and the room was interesting and fun. That said… the cleanliness was an issue. We had 2 rooms. One of them we asked to change because the carpet was stained and the window was broken and wouldn’t open. The room we moved to still had stained carpets but were too tired to move again. The second room also had stained carpets. The towels they provide were rough and smelled bad. The floor of my shower showed stains and well as my sink. I also noticed brown spots on the ceiling in the bathroom. For a 5 star hotel I was not impressed. But again ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful.
“The Pulitzer Amsterdam is simply one of those hotels that gets under your skin. A labyrinth of historic canal houses stitched together beautifully, with a team that genuinely cares. The hotel responded swiftly and with great attentiveness whenever I needed assistance, which is the true measure of a great hotel. Request a canal facing room on the third floor for a truly beautiful view. The Pulitzer Bar is effortlessly cool, and the whole property has a warmth that larger luxury hotels rarely manage. Already booked to return. That says it all.”
