Our stay at The Oberoi in Agra was absolutely exceptional from the very first moment. The level of service we experienced was truly sensational and unlike anything we have encountered before. During our stay, our child unfortunately became sick, and the staff immediately stepped in to help without us even needing to ask. Their attentiveness, care, and genuine concern were remarkable and made a difficult moment much easier for our family. This level of hospitality is something very special. The restaurant was equally outstanding. The service was flawless, and the food was of the highest possible quality. Every dish was prepared to perfection, and the entire dining experience was simply sensational. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but the service here was truly on another level. Everything felt thoughtful, personal, and perfectly executed. We would return here at any time without hesitation and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone. It is an unforgettable place with extraordinary hospitality.

We visited The Oberoi Amarvias, Agra for my husband's birthday and I have to say that the stay was nothing short of a luxurious, hospitable experience. The staff went above and beyond by all means to make us feel as if we were part of their family itself! The resort is at a strategic location with the Taj Mahal clearly visible from the room windows. The staff worked tirelessly to maintain a warm and amiable ambience throughout the day. They made sure that we were at ease and their concern was something that is rare even in 5-star properties. If you want to be treated like royalty, taste some truly remarkable dishes and experience the pinnacle of hospitality, then The Oberoi Amarvilas is the place to stay while visiting Agra.

In 2016 during my visit to Taj Mahal I went for dinner in Oberoi and totally fall in love with the property, service and mostly the view. For many years I have been remembering this experience and was telling to my husband that once we visit Agra we have to go to Oberoi, now 10 years after, I came back with my husband rushing before the sunset so we manage to get a nice view, since Taj Mahal doesn’t have night lighting (which is strange, hotel with such a selling point could invest money to local government to arrange the lighting for Taj Mahal, which they do in many places, even Amankora Bhutan arranged lighting for the governmental Dzong for their guests to enjoy the wonderful view at night), however straight when we entered the restaurant called “Bellevue” in translation beautiful view, well it doesn’t have the view except on the hotel facilities and trees, but no that view that I remembered and was dreaming to come back to see, staff said that there is no restaurant with the view, which later turned there is a view at the bar, which we missed coz it became dark coz we weren’t advised and we came for it!!! (All point of coming to Agra for me is for Taj Mahal and Oberoi restaurant with the view). Then ok, since we were hungry, we did have a meal which has costed us 17k INR, each dish is around 20$ roughly, 2 scoops of ice cream 10$, but food totally does not worth it at all, Burma Burma, Paul or PF Chang in Delhi are much better flavours, presentation and service, duck was very chewy, stuffed wine leaves too salty and leaves are very far from being tender, I can’t say that food was awful but as a true foodie, I appreciate the taste and this taste did not worth its price and my expectations from Oberoi F&B service are much higher. There were lots of bread crumps on the floor near our table (see the pic) before we come and all time while we sit there, it was not from us, nor there was anyone sitting at the table next to us, I did not expect to find this kind of mess on the floor at Oberoi. The staff is not properly trained, you can feel management demands from them but don’t invest into a proper training, in a natural felt service instead of odd. There are so many people who came to our table while we were eating, I stopped counting, guests should not be disturbed while they are chewing. After that I wanted to see the room, because I wanted to book this room as a surprise for our wedding anniversary but staff refused to show the room and judging by booking.com there was availability, and in my whole life I have never been refused to have a look at the room, all hotels try to keep 2-3 showrooms usually during the day, but staff even did not bother to check in the system just turned us away, of course with a big smile, which was definitely not genuine. We’ve been to many hotels in India, and even much lower brands like Hilton, Lemon Tree, Loft have much better service, more genuine. And as for my anniversary I decided to go to ITC, since Oberoi did not want to inspire me with their rooms... I bet the hotel gets enough revenue, but looses much more, just because they don’t know that one good experience during meal or even drink can leave impression and bring future guests who will also recommend it to their friends. For me it has been 2nd and last time in Oberoi Agra, it was a true disappointment, no view, bad food, odd service. And if anyone decide to come to Oberoi for the view, then go to the bar lobby level during the day time, or stay in one of the rooms with the view of Taj Mahal, restaurants don’t have the view or food that worth coming for. P.S. Thanks to the pastry chef he was very nice and we loved the ice creams that he recommended, mango ice cream was divine! P.S.2 The rest of the staff, maybe they noticed my unsatisfied face, or maybe it’s a standard, they all came to ask if all is ok, but firstly they come when we are eating and definitely not into a conversation after a long trip, we just wanted to peacefully eat, and you could feel they come to cover up the possible glitches

I recently dined at Bellevue for dinner, and while much of it was delightful, one aspect left a sour note. The ambience is stunning—elegant and serene, perfectly capturing the luxury of Oberoi Agra, right in the heart of the city near the Taj Mahal. The food was good, with flavorful dishes that lived up to the hotel's reputation. Our server was the absolute highlight—sweet, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel truly looked after throughout the meal. Unfortunately, an interaction with senior staff marred the evening due to a miscommunication. The handling felt rude and judgmental, which was disappointing in such a premium setting. Better courtesy from leadership could elevate it further. I'd recommend Oberoi Agra for a stay—it's beautiful and ideally located—but approach dining with tempered expectations until senior staff training improves.

This a magnificent hotel. From the moment you arrive its clear this hotel is very special. It is located only a few hundred meters from the entrance to the Taj Mahal with all rooms having a view of the Taj Mahal. Rooms are very comfortable. We ate in Bellevue restaurant which offered a great variety of dishes with really friendly helpful service. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night so didn't get the chance to try out the pool and spa. Overall, a very memorable stay. Thanks everyone.
