From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere feels calm, respectful, and thoughtfully curated. The entire space is designed to honor Sheikh Zayed’s values, vision, and timeless contributions to the country, and it does so in a way that feels elegant and deeply impactful. The highlight of the memorial is certainly “The Constellation,” a stunning three-dimensional art installation that uses thousands of geometric shapes suspended in the air to form Sheikh Zayed’s portrait. Both during the day and at night, the artwork looks breathtaking, but the evening view is truly magical. The soft lighting creates a serene glow that makes the portrait appear almost alive, and it remains one of the most striking pieces of public art in the UAE. Such a beautiful even romantic place during Ramadan time. The warm glow of little lamps under the trees with Etihad Towers and the Memorial structure on the background is absolutely amazing. The workers even sweeping the ground at night to make it spotless.

The memorial features a sanctuary garden with benches and a traditional ancient irrigation system known as the “falaj.” You will also discover a heritage garden home to numerous medicinal desert plants, as well as an elevated walkway offering breathtaking views over the Arabian Gulf, the city’s stunning skyline, and the centerpiece of the Founder’s Memorial: the Constellation. It is free and open at all times. It’s beautiful, I highly recommend it.

Visited the Founder’s Memorial , such a cozy and peaceful place. The atmosphere in winter is amazing, very calm and relaxing. The low lights make it even better, especially in the evening. There’s also a coffee shop called The Bench, and honestly it’s one of the best. Really nice spot to unwind and enjoy the vibe.

The architecture is impressive and thoughtfully designed, offering a serene place to reflect on the UAE’s history and its founders. I loved how it blends nature with cultural significance — a perfect place for a walk or a quiet moment. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Abu Dhabi and looking for a meaningful outdoor experience close to the beach. Paid Parking spots are available nearby.
